Colorado Springs is the second most densely populated area in Colorado, running behind Denver. This beautiful, scenic town sits at the base of Pikes Peak, which sits on the Eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains. Everything from economic opportunities to schools to beautiful scenery and hopping nightlife have placed this city on the list of 100 best places to live in the United States.

Another close race, this conservative town leaned toward the blue this time, with 55 percent of the votes going to the Democratic party. Better luck next time, Colorado Springs. Perhaps next election you’ll have the opportunity to represent the majority.
