Liberal: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Philly has been the financial, industrial, and cultural hub of the Delaware valley since the 1800s.  A population of nearly 7 million people celebrate the “city of brotherly love” by continuing to foster traditions of history, culture, and community that Philadelphia is known for.

In keeping with many other urban areas on this list, Philadelphia helped flip the state of Pennsylvania toward the Democratic vote, and this is good news for city residents that showed up in a display of patriotic unity on election day.
