Judas Priest is a heavy metal English band, formed in 1969, known for the screaming lead vocals, songs about destruction, and lots of turnover amongst the group. The band struggled with commercial success until 1980 with the album British Steel.

While Judas Priest was nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020, they didn’t end up getting inducted. This has furthered the discussion about the lack of representation of metal bands in the Hall.
