If Phoebe Cates had just played the role of Linda Barrett for Fast Times at Ridgemont High, that alone would have made her an ’80s icon. Her appearance in the film definitely gave fans of the classic teen comedy something to remember, even as she was only 17 while being cast.

She later went on to act in other notable titles like Heart of Dixie, Gremlins (and its sequel), Bright Lights, and Big City. She actually quit acting to focus on being a mom and now owns the Blue Tree boutique on Madison Avenue in New York.
