Cyndi Lauper

Cyndi Lauper encapsulated the pop music genre of the 1980s quite well with her big hit “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” She would also follow that up with another hit song, “Time After Time.” Lauper even won best new artist at the 27th Grammy Awards in 1985.

Success ensued when Lauper ended up recording the soundtracks for the movies True Colors and The Goonies. Her free spirit and distinctive style are still popular with audiences, and she finds herself still touring today. She has released 12 albums to date.
