It’s come to light recently that the 37^th President of the U.S. took a number of different drugs to alleviate mental and emotional stress, including amphetamines – an insomnia medication now labelled as a class-2 drug, anti-anxiety pills, and Valium. Nixon’s battles with anxiety however didn’t keep him from bringing a peaceful end to the Vietnam War, ending the draft, and passing an array of environmental legislation.
