McGowan would rather not be labeled as an actress, since her years in that profession were “stressful”. She also enjoys directing, and tackling Hollywood projects on her own term.

A dark moment came when she had a terrible accident that could have been fatal. Instead, the opportunity allowed her to fix a scar that was under one of her eyes. She also had other procedures done, like adding fillers, and having rhinoplasty. The once naturally lavishing artist now looks more intimidating than ever.
