Vanna White – Born 1957

Vanna White was born and raised in South Carolina, but her upbringing was anything but traditional southern. She was the child of a split marriage, raised primarily by her stepfather and emotionally absent mother. White realized quickly that opportunity was her ticket out of a mundane existence, and she began competing in beauty pageants as a means of grooming herself for a career in modeling and entertainment. One of her biggest competitions to date was the Miss Georgia Pageant in 1978.
A number of minor roles in television and film led to moderate success, while her big break was yet to come in the game show genre. She began as a Barker girl on The Price Is Right in 1980 and moved on to her forever place at Wheel Of Fortune in 1982. There must be something about turning those letters that keeps you young; White has done a great job of evading fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots that seem to be creeping up on the rest of her adoring fans.
