Patti Smith – Born 1946

This eclectic poet, singer, songwriter, and artist changed the face of the punk rock scene in New York City in the sixties. She has the illustrious title of one of Rolling Stone’s “100 greatest musicians of all time”, and she is also the recipient of a Polar Music Award to add to her impressive list of credits and recognitions.

Patti maintains a positive outlook on life at 73, despite some recent medical issues that have forced her into retirement. Thankfully, her dedication to her craft and her excellence in delivering the goods will keep her going for quite a while longer.
