These Beloved Stars Of Hollywood’s Golden Age Are Still Alive And Enjoying Life In Retirement
We’re living in what can be described as highly uncertain times. Social issues, politics, climate concerns, and other big-picture concepts are frequently top of mind. But not too long ago, life was a whole lot easier. Back in a time that can now be reflected upon as the ‘golden age,’ life flowed in a far more effortless fashion. Kids could play with other kids from the neighborhood, and grown-ups could congregate and socialize. And the celebrities of that era? Well, thankfully there was no social media back then.
If you’ve ever wondered about your favorite childhood celebrity, and what they might be up today, look no further. Here are some of the most celebrated, but oftentimes forgotten, celebrities from the golden age of life. You’ll undoubtedly be a little more than surprised to learn what some of these people are up to today…
Tracy Austin – Born 1962
Tracy Austin is far from a has-been; she has been a sports icon and tennis professional since the mid seventies. A former number one in World Tennis, she has a list of professional accomplishments a mile long, including two Grand Slam titles and a WTA World Championship Tour title. She also bagged a mixed doubles championship at Wimbledon in 1980, making her one of the most accomplished tennis players in history.
Due to a near-fatal car accident, Austin was forced to rescind her professional game, much to the dismay of adoring fans. Not to worry; her professional associations have landed her back on top again with commentating positions with both NBC and USA networks. She continues to cover events such as the U.S. Open and the French open, and she has most recently been seen commentating for Canadian sports television as well.
Victoria Principal – 1950
Starring in the iconic role of Pamela Barnes Ewing on Dallas, Victoria Principal was—and still is—one of the most beautiful faces in television and film. She left the show in 1987 to start her own production company and formulate her own skincare line, which she appropriately named “Principal Secret”.
She has authored a number of books on the subject of skincare and healthy living, and the royalties she gains from both skincare and books is enough to live quite well. The last we heard, she was busy writing a fifth book; she has plenty to say on the subject of living well, and she is still the poster child for health and wellness, even at the tender age of seventy.
Priscilla Presley – Born 1945
Known as the only woman to ever have stolen Elvis Presley’s heart, Priscilla Presley’s wit and charm continue to captivate everyone who comes in contact with the vixen. She was a young bride, marrying Elvis and helping to run his empire for six years between the 60s and 70s. After Elvis’s untimely death, Priscilla went on to memorialize his legacy by helping to turn Graceland into what it is today.
Her aptitude for business and financial affairs make her one of the most well-respected women in Hollywood today. In addition to being a shrewd business woman, she has had her share of success in film, starring with Leslie Nielsen in “The Naked Gun” and helping to pioneer a series on Netflix entitled “Agent King”.
Cheryl Ladd – Born 1951
Ms. Ladd is a multi-talented member of this list; she is an accomplished author, singer, and actor most famous for her role on the hit show, “Charlie’s Angels”. Although she was a rising star thanks to her exposure as an angel, her passion remained rooted in music and theater.
She was seen in various musical productions during her time on television and even managed to land a chance to perform the national anthem at 1980’s Super Bowl. She has retained a loyal fanbase throughout her career and, thanks to her flawless aging process, she has no plans to retire anytime soon.
Sally Field – Born 1946
Sally Field is virtually ageless, yet her career spans longer than most other Hollywood icons. Her list of achievements and awards includes Golden Globe awards, Academy Awards, Daytime Emmy awards and Screen Actors Guild accolades. She has been a successful actress since 1962, and even though she is in her seventies, she has no plans to retire anytime soon.
One only has to look at past and present pictures of Field to see that she is still the same beautiful, quirky, energetic actress that she was years ago. Her continued commitment to her craft and experience which lends itself to stellar performances will likely have her landing roles for years to come.
Jane Birkin – Born 1946
Birkin is still a breathtaking beauty at 76; her list of acting accomplishments includes over forty movies, including The Swimming Pool and Blow Up.
With not a gray hair on her head, she continues to inspire young actors and wow audiences with additional roles that highlight her strengths. Keep giving us the magic, Jane.
Goldie Hawn – Born 1945
Golden girl Goldie Hawn retains her youthful appearance and childlike wonder that still manages to get her roles for characters much younger than her actual age. Although there have been many rumors that Hawn has gone under the knife to retain her youth, she brushes these off with the same lackadaisical charm that drew us to her in the first place.
Thanks to Goldie, we know a lot more about her self-care regimen than most Hollywood stars indulge. She is an avid yogi and meditator, and she also is committed to eating well and living healthfully; she attributes her glowing complexion to a greens power smoothie that she drinks daily. Jeri Ryan – Born 1968
Jeri Ryan is perhaps most famous for her role in the Star Trek spinoff, Borg. She has also made appearances on hit television shows Dark Skies and Boston Public. She has a number of films under her belt as well, including one titled Devil Revenge in 2019.
Ryan recently married French chef Eme, whom she met at a charity event. They have appeared on Iron Chef America together, and they have one daughter. With her son from a previous marriage, it seems that Jeri Ryan has carved out the perfect family for herself, and she is going strong in her career as well. We can expect to see her surface again in television and film before too long.
Sally Struthers – Born 1947
Surprisingly, Sally Struthers had her first big break on her first significant role on All In The Family, where she played daughter Gloria. She has since gone on to play roles on several episodes of Gilmore Girls, and she also plays the voiceover character of Rebecca on the Disney show, Tailspin.
Her acting successes and fitness equipment have put her in a position where she no longer has to work regularly to live her comfortable life. We have no doubt that her sound financial planning will net a great retirement for her…..when she decides to do so!
Morgan Fairchild – Born 1950
Still sporting her trademark eighties hairdo, Morgan Fairchild is as beautiful as she ever was. Her television performances in soap operas and cameo appearances on various sitcoms have gained her the loyalty of audiences far and wide.
She takes care of herself, inside and out, and we look forward to seeing many more entertaining performances, despite the fact that she is in her seventies.
Martha Stewart – Born 1941
Martha Steward is one smart cookie. After a successful modeling career, she peeked into the future and created success with entrepreneurial ventures in merchandising, cooking, and housewares. Her talents in hosting her own television shows and penning several best-selling books make her one of the most well-respected women in show business.
Her hard work, innovations, and investments have certainly paid off for this near 80-year old. Her prosperity and affluence no doubt adds to her youthful glow; with rumors about plastic surgery quickly squelched by Stewart and her camp, she maintains that her stellar complexion is the result of clean living and clean spaces.
Jaclyn Smith – Born 1945
We want a little of the fountain of youth that Smith has been sipping from these days; at 77-years old, this lady looks spectacular! One of the original Charlie’s Angels, she looks as good now as the day she began the show. She is a pioneer of the practice of branding, and with her clothing line, she continues to make an impact in the fashion world for both young and old.
When fans saw some of her Christmas photos this past January, they were transfixed. We hope to see Smith in more significant roles, as we cannot get enough of her unique talent and charisma.

Cote De Pablo is a Chilean beauty that moved to the United States with dreams of becoming a Hollywood starlet. At the tender age of 15, she was already cast as the host of a Latin-American magazine show, and her future seemed bright.
Her dual degrees in theater and music made her the perfect choice for cast member Ziva on NCIS. She blew away audiences with her incredible acting ability and her flawless looks. In her forties still, we are sure that she has plenty of opportunity ahead of her.
Jacqueline Bisset – Born 1944
Jacqueline looks as good now as she did nearly forty years ago when she began her career. If you were to see her walking through a mall or even down the street, you might assume she was in her mid-forties, rather than almost seventy-five!
Although we know she has access to top notch skin care, she no doubt has a bit of natural beauty on which to paint a masterpiece. After her role on Detective, her future seemed certain as an actress and influencer of young actresses everywhere. Keep rockin, Bisset.

Raquel Welch – Born 1940
Age is a number…..what really counts is how you feel. This mantra is what Raquel Welch lives by as she continues to act circles around other professionals much younger than she. After a successful performance in Fantastic Voyage, she went on to lock in a contract with 20th Century Fox, where she sizzled on screen in such favorites as One Million Years B.C., Bandolero!, Three Musketeers, Bedazzled, and 100 Rifles.

Jenilee Harrison – Born 1958
Jenilee’s portrayal of Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company bought her an instant following; she used her success on that sitcom to springboard her to even more fame and success as Ewing Barnes on Dallas, a popular nighttime soap opera.
Regardless of her advancing age, Jenliee continues to surprise us with her young-at-heart mentality and her youthful blonde looks. We are not sure what she uses for a skincare regimen, but count us in if she ever decides to disclose that clock-stopping information! You go, girl!
Helen Miren – Born 1945
Mirren began her illustrious career with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Over fifty years outlines a very impressive career with a number of impressive awards and accomplishments. Some of her more notable movies include The Queen, Gosford Park, The Last Station, and The Madness Of King George.
Born into a humble family, Mirren continues to give back to friends and family members alike; she is known as much for her generosity as her acting ability. She continues to dazzle us with her classic beauty as well as her engaging on screen delivery.
Betty White – Born 1922
Betty White first emerged onto TV screens in the 1952 with the comedy Life with Elizabeth before hosting her own variety show. She also appeared on various game shows throughout the ’60s like Password, To Tell the Truth and What’s My Line?
She managed to be a presence on television for over six decades, best-known for her role as Rue McClanahan on The Golden Girls, as well as on The Mary Tyler Moore Show before that. White became a beloved figure in pop culture, known for her spry and lively personality despite her age. In 2011, a poll considered her the most popular and trusted celebrities, ahead of Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks. Sadly, she passed away just on Dec. 31, 2021, just 17 days shy of her 100th birthday.
Bianca Jagger – Born 1945
Bianca Jagger may have left the acting profession a while ago, but she continues to leave her mark on the industry. Her talents are known both in film and onstage, and her timeless beauty is perhaps due to the fact that she looks like 40 even though she is approaching 80.
Her humanitarian work no doubt keeps her young looking as well; she continues to work as a human rights activist for people in underprivileged countries.
Sissy Spacek – Born 1949
Spacek’s first role in the seventies in the film, Badlands, catapulted her to instant stardom. She was young and impressionable, however, and she soon fell victim to the trappings of Hollywood addiction, including drug and alcohol abuse. She fell so far from grace that she almost lost all opportunities for acting; fortunately, she was able to pull herself together before it was too late.
She has since gone on to star in a number of innovative and groundbreaking roles, but aside from her time on screen, she prefers to keep life private, away from the prying eyes of the scorching media.
Julia Roberts – Born 1967

Catherine is most certainly a survivor; she has been through divorce and has worked through the suicide of her second husband. Loni Anderson first earned her acting wings as lovable character Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP In Cincinnati. Her comedic wit and charm earned her nominations for both Emmys and Golden Globes. She also had guest appearances on S.W.A.T. and Three’s Company. Her list of acting credentials does not end with television, however.
She has appeared in several films, including Night At The Roxbury, Stroker Ace, and The Lonely Guy. Sadly, her personal life did not seem to go as well as her professional life; she has been married four times and gone through three messy divorces. At nearly 80, she is still going strong, landing small roles in film and television, and she plans to keep acting as long as people will hire her.
Jennifer O’Neill – Born 1948
Jennifer O’Neill looks almost exactly the same as she did when she first appeared on film in the seventies; how is that possible? Whatever she is doing, we wish she would divulge some of her anti-aging secrets to us; no one would age if we had access to that information!
O’Neill’s acting accomplishments are stellar, including a memorable performance that she is most famous for in The Summer of ‘42, for which she earned critical acclaim.
Barbara Carera – Born 1945
This dark, brooding beauty stole the show when she emerged as an assassin in Never Say Never Again. Barbara has made a huge career for herself with this role and others that catapulted her to fame in the eighties and beyond.
She has made wise investments in the financial sector and with her self-care routines, allowing her to look virtually the same as she did when she was in her thirties. Well done, Barbara. We look forward to seeing you again on the big screen.

Everyone who grew up in the eighties likely knew Sloane Peterson, the love interest of one of our favorite iconic film characters, Ferris Bueller. Her performance in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off earned her some serious street cred with film fans and fellow actors.
Her personal life is a bit more spicy; she was married to Sean Connery’s son Jason, and they had a son together. After the pair split, she met and married Jim Henson of Muppet fame, and they have a daughter together. Mia just loves to fly, so much so that she obtained a pilot’s license and has purchased a small plane to cart family and friends around. Maybe that’s the secret to staying so young–finding a hobby that you are passionate about!

Nicole Kidman is the redhead that we all aspire to be. Statuesque, porcelain, and strikingly beautiful, she continues to rock the red carpet, growing more sophisticated by the year. In her fifties, she resembles a fine wine, seeming to get better with age.
Her iconic roles in Moulin Rouge, To Die For, and Days Of Thunder earned her the attention of Hollywood greats, including megastar Tom Cruise. She has since moved on to marry country music megastar Keith Urban, and the pair are living out their days enviously, keeping up their swimming and high protein routines that give them both svelte figures that we all long for. Who didn’t love Matthew’s portrayal of Albert in Little House On The Prairie? Matthew’s skills in developing the character of Albert helped foster the success of one of the most popular shows on television.
Now in his mid-fifties, our little Albert sure did grow up! Thanks to his mother France’s influence, he earned some training credits and experience with other roles before landing the part of Albert. Boy, are we glad he took that—the series would not have been the same without him.
Mindy Cohn – Born 1966
Mindy Cohn first rose to fame with her portrayal of Natalie Green on The Facts Of Life. She remained with the show for nine years, allowing her to root herself firmly in the Hollywood acting community and boost her bank account balance. Most recently, she was doing voice over work as the character of Velma Dinkley in Scooby Doo from 2000-2015.
Cohn has been well-received in all her acting endeavors, earning nominations for Emmys for her on screen and voice over work. Although she didn’t score any life changing roles during her acting career, she has kept her nose clean and is aging gracefully these days in Beverly Hills.
Kristin Alfonso – Born 1963
Former fashion model, figure skater extraordinaire, and soap opera actress most well known for her role as Hope Brady on Days Of Our Lives, Kristin Alfonso seems to have it all. She has held that significant role since 1983 and continues even now to cash in impressive sums per episode that she appears in.
After appearances in the Junior Olympics, an unfortunate accident caused her to end her promising figure skating career. She picked herself up, dusted herself off, and dove straight into acting, appearing opposite Rock Hudson in The Starmaker. Her role in Days is what has really shaped her stardom; Alfonso married for the second time in 2001 to husband Danny Draggenhurst, and the two have two sons, Jack and Spartan.
Lark Voorhies – Born 1974
You might have seen this perky beauty on a popular sitcom, Saved By The Bell, in the eighties. She played opposite Mark Paul Gosselar as Lisa Marie Turtle, and she brought laughter and light to the screen. Voorhies is so much more than just a pretty face, however; she has a number of musical accomplishments under her belt, in addition to being a published author of three books.
Voorhies has had a number of relationships that seem to coincide with her career choices. She dated Gosselar while filming Saved By The Bell for nearly three years. She had a brief engagement to Martin Lawrence in 1993, and in 1996, she tied the knot with Miguel Coleman. After divorcing Coleman in 2004, she set her sights on Jimmy Green; the pair married briefly in 2015, only to split six months later. Tami Stronach – Born 1972
Few women can claim to age as gracefully as Tami Stronach; despite the fact that she is fifty, she has the look of someone twenty years her junior. Her acting career began when she was still quite young; she was given roles in Neverending Story and The Childlike Empress. Unfortunately, her acting career fizzled out after that, and she followed a second passion, dance, straight into the Neta Dance Company.
Since she joined the US Dance troupe in 1996, she has performed in Europe, the United States, and Israel. Dancing has fulfilled her, and she has not looked back. Married since 2010, she and husband Greg Steinbruner have one daughter, Mya, and she is currently dancing and designing choreography right alongside her talented and beautiful mom.
Tina Majorino – Born 1985
Majorino made some serious bank before most of us were even thinking about money; she landed her first role in a television sitcom when she was just seven years old. Her breakthrough role into film was with When A Man Loves A Woman, a devastating drama about a family slogging through the throes of alcoholism.
Majorino has since gone on to score additional roles in film which have catapulted her to stardom. Corina Corina, Andre, and Waterworld are just a few of her film credits. She took a brief respite from acting and the limelight until 2004; she has since emerged and is flourishing once again in television and film.
Yasmine Bleeth – Born 1968
Yasmine Bleeth has gained a solid fan base, thanks to her roles on One Life To Live and Baywatch. Unfortunately, she didn’t have as much success in her personal life, and she became embroiled in all the trappings that Hollywood had to offer. One struggle after another has ensued in her life, and she struggles to keep her head above water.
As recently as 2003, Jasmine made a comeback with the television show, Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. Bleeth met husband Paul Cerrito, and the two of them are now living harmoniously, diving their time between Los Angeles and Scottsdale.
Barbara Mandrell – Born 1948
Barbara Mandrell and her sisters are country music legends. She first rose to fame in the mid-seventies, known both for her striking beauty and her flawless vocals. Some of her hits are well known by young and old, including If Loving You Is Wrong, I Don’t Want To Be Right and Sleeping Single In A Double Bed.
Mandrell was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2009, and although she is nearing seventy, she has no plans to completely retire anytime soon. Who knows? She may even surprise us with another solo recording before she walks off into the sunset.
Tamilee Web – Born 1958
Not to worry if you don’t have Abs of Steel or Buns of Steel; Tamilee Web will forgive you. Web is a fitness guru and a competition sensation, not to mention creator of these two popular sculpting and fitness programs.
It’s no surprise that someone so passionate about health and fitness should look so good, even as she ages. Her dealings with FitTV and new program releases keep her on her toes, and it should inspire more of us to get off our couches.
Judi Sheppard Missett – Born 1944
Thanks, Judy, for the Jazzercise craze that swept the nation in the eighties; we wouldn’t be the same without you. Her fit body is testament to the rest of us that the unique combination of cardio, weight bearing exercises, and sculpting really works. At 76, this fitness mogul looks amazing.
Judi had fame by the horns at the inception of Jazzercise, for it was unlike any other fitness program that had surfaced. People showed up in droves for classes, and it was the feisty music and eye-popping eighties gear that kept them coming back for more. Judi is not slowing down anytime soon; rumor has it that she is still working unique ways to promote fitness and make it more accessible to the masses.
Tonya Harding – Born 1970
Tonya was the black sheep of her family; even at a young age, she recognized this when her interests gravitated toward all things athletic. Her chosen sport was figure skating, and she pursued this goal with passion as she plowed ahead toward the Winter Olympics of 1994.
An unfortunate and controversial moment at the championship caused her to leave the sport prematurely, but she doesn’t let it keep her down. Wise investments and business dealings continue to support her in her retirement. She will not go under anytime soon.
Nancy Kerrigan – Born 1969
Good girl Nancy Kerrigan is everyone’s ice skating sweetheart. She has earned numerous medals and titles that put her in top ranking for world championship skater fame. Taking home silver Olympic medals in both 1992 and 1994, she won the title of U.S. National Figure Skating champion in 1993.
Nancy was just six years old when she discovered a passion for figure skating. Even though she has officially retired from the skating world, she made a small comeback for the 24th season of Dancing With The Stars, during which she shocked everyone with her grace and agility. In her mid-fifties now, she is as athletic and agile as ever.

Her talents as an actress and singer have gained her loyal fans that have stayed with her through thick and thin. In her prime, she had notable performances in When The Boys Meet The Girls, and her musical accomplishments include hits such as Lipstick On Your Collar and Heartaches By The Number. We love her story, and we wish her success in any future endeavors.
Pauley Perrette – Born 1969
NCIS is Pauley Perrette’s claim to fame, in which she played quirky character Abby Sciuto. Her character on the show wasn’t far from a younger, real life version of herself. After obtaining a degree in criminal justice, Pauley moved to New York, where she worked odd jobs and did bartending.
Other newsworthy appearances led to her rise to fame, including roles on Frasier and 24. Although she loved her time on NCIS, her tenure came to an end over a dispute with co-star Mark Harmon. Fortunately, she has moved on and is set to star in a soon-to-be-released sitcom entitled Broke.

Suzanne Somers first appeared onscreen as lovable Chrissy in Three’s Company. Unbeknownst to many, she is also an accomplished businesswoman, singer, author, and passionate health advocate. Bonet is also well known for her tumultuous romance with celebrity rocker Lenny Kravitz. They were married and became a recognizable power couple for a number of years. Bell moved in with partner Brooke Daniels in 2012. O’Hara is married to production designer Bo Welch, who worked with her on the Beetlejuice set. They walked down the aisle in 1992, and they have two grown sons together. Linda Kozlowski – Born 1958
Linda Kozlowski first entered the acting biz in 1981, when she appeared as Miss Forsythe in Death Of A Salesman. She dabbled a bit more on Broadway before her breakthrough role in Crocodile Dundee. The film was not only great for her career, but she met her future husband and father of her son, Paul Hogan.

Jane Banks was a lovable character in the original Mary Poppins; we fell in love with her quiet demeanor and her innocence that lent itself well to the musical. Karen Dotrice, the talented actress that played this part, went on to do much more than this role, carving out a place for herself among the acting greats. She bounced back and forth between theater and television roles, and in 1982, she officially announced her retirement.
Since The Return of Mary Poppins, many fans were surprised to realize that their little Jane had grown up, and was making a cameo appearance in the film. Karen is an adult knockout too, and she deserves to take a little time off to create an extraordinary life for herself and her family.

Her powerhouse vocals and passionate stage performance were well known, even when she was in the process of starting the band in college. Nearing 60 now, she is giving the vocals a rest and exercising her voice in other ways; she is a passionate advocate of vegetarianism and has joined forces with PETA to stand against cruelty to animals. Kris deserves a little pampering for all the hard work she’s done for her family, so after her most recent facelift, she flaunts a complexion that is akin to someone half her age. It’s hard to believe that this song graced the airwaves nearly 30 years ago, yet Belinda has been going strong creating new music and investing in small business.

Known as the greatest teen idol—or at least the most attractive one—-of the 80s, Rob Lowe had fame written in his stars from a very young age. Though now 86, and though her personal life was rockier than she would have liked, she manages to embody grace and beauty that is typical of women much younger than she. Through divorces, a schizophrenic husband, and marital abuse, she has risen above adversity and continues to shine her star quality for all to see.
Barbara Feldon: March 12, 1933
Can it be? This gorgeous lady is actually 85 years old? Most other women her age are frail, weak, and sickly, but this was not to be Barbara’s experience. She wouldn’t have it. Barbara has been working for the television industry since the inception of television programs, though most of her work involves theater production. Most famous for her role in Get Smart, a 60s comedy, she has plenty of tricks up her sleeve for looking and feeling youthful.
We doubt she’ll need to cash in on any of those tricks, though as she has a pretty good thing going already!
Dame Judi Dench: December 9, 1934
English actress Judi Dench is known far and wide for her pristine addition to any film or play she participates in. Age is not a factor in her being able to deliver a quality role that is both accurate and memorable; she remains radiant and youthful even today. Her professional work has earned her a number of awards and nominations, and she continues to shine brightly, inspiring others with clean living and healthy habits.
The focus of much of her time these days is helping her daughter achieve the same goals; she has recently undergone treatment for drug and alcohol addiction and is rebuilding life with her famous mother at her side.

Now 80 years Young, Dawn Wells is one of the two last surviving cast members of the hit sitcom Gilligan’s Island. On the show, she played lovable and beautiful Marianne, a castaway who was stuck with other unfortunate souls trying to find her way back to the mainland. Dawn has also done a number of other small roles on both small and big screens, and her impeccable work ethic and acting talents were well recognized everywhere she went. After Gilligan’s Island was canceled, she launched a career in theater, appearing in over 100 shows. Although years of acting opportunities had given her financial stability, she came close to losing everything after a surgery nearly killed her a few years ago.
She set up a GoFundMe page in 2018 to help offset the cost of her medical bills. Now with her health on the mend, we have no doubt that she will rise to the top once more and see a bit more financial stability in the days ahead.
