Ally Sheedy: June 13, 1963

Ally Sheedy was an 80s darling; her porcelain skin and dark hair made for a striking combination, and she looked fabulous in all her roles on screen.  Though her professional life was going swimmingly all through the 80s and well into the 90s, the same was not true for her personal life. Her relationship with Bon Jovi musician Richie Sambora ended with Sheedy having to enter rehab for her addiction to sleeping pills.

Thankfully, she pulled it together and moved on to marry David Lansbury.  Their only daughter came out as transgender, and now identifies as male. Sheedy is an open advocate for transgender rights, and although she and Lansbury are now divorced, she continues to show outspoken support of her son. With her Hollywood power and influence, as well as a smile that still attracts attention, she will no doubt make a big impact on behalf of the transgender community.
