This Jack-of-all-trades has several talents that have earned him a loyal following; from acclaimed director to singer to actor and beyond, it seems that there is no end to what Jared Leto can do. His first big break in acting came in 1998 when he took a role in The Thin Red Line.

From a short hiatus in the 2000s, Leto came back with a bang on the screen once more in Dallas Buyers Club. Wanting desperately to portray the role with integrity, he followed a strict weight loss regime and managed to lose thirty pounds for his role. His dedication and his acting chops were both noticed, and that performance earned an Academy Award for Best Actor. He may not be tearing into roles with reckless abandon, but his wise investments and penchant for choosing award winning roles have his bank account sitting in a very good spot right now.
