Approximately 6,000 acres of the Arabian Gulf coast is devoted to golf. Architect Kyle Phillips had two million cubic meters of sand removed so that he could create the Yas Links. This golf course opened in 2010 and became a highly sought-after course in the area, as it looks like an oasis in the desert.

There is both a challenging 18-hole course and a less scary 9-hole par 3 course for people of all abilities. Membership fees are estimated to be hover around nearly $19,000. One round of golf could run you more than $700, but deal finders can cut it down to a more doable $325.
