There are a ton of golf courses in this area and Archerfield Links, in particular, has been operating for more than 100 years. If the records are correct, the first attendant was the unnamed bowman of King Edward I. The course has always been upscale, even to this day.

There are two courses onsite. One is called The Fidra and the other goes by The Dirleton. Both are 18 holes lined by pine forests and water. The Fidra goes toward the coastline and a bird sanctuary. Memberships go for over $12,300. There are some individual packages that require an up-front fee of an astounding $38,625.
