According to 2019 census polls, Fargo comes in at just under 200,000 residents. This Cass county seat was founded in 1871 by area farmers wishing to create more opportunity for the Red River Valley. Fargo is a retail, healthcare, and industry hub for the greater northwest North Dakota and northwest Minnesota area.

In what could be called a major victory, residents of Fargo and greater North Dakota represented the conservative vote very strongly in our presidential election. Nearly 66 percent of the vote statewide went to Donald Trump, and support for conservative values and policy remains strong in this area of the country.
