Liberal: Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta was born out of a necessity to create a state-funded railroad that would eventually move cross-country. Transportation across the deep South was what connected many farmers and manufacturers at this time, and Atlanta was the perfect place to create for business, home life, and leisure. It remains a southern power city to this day, with almost 3 million people making up the greater Atlanta area.

Thanks to the densely populated cities in Georgia like Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus, and Augusta, the Democratic vote pulled ahead by a very narrow margin in this last election. This state could go either way in the elections to come, as stats show that loyalties run strong on both sides of our political persuasion.
