Conservative:  Plano, Texas

Plano Texas is a suburban community that sits approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas. European settlers set up camp in the 1840s with simple attractions such as a mill, a gristmill, and a general store. Plano grew steadily until the eighties, when several large corporations moved to town and caused its population to swell suddenly into the tens of thousands.

The conservative vote squeaked out a win in the Plano area with 52 percent pulling ahead of the defeated Democrats. Such close statistics may bear further scrutiny as we continue to watch Plano’s political evolution unfold.
