Walmart and other chain retailers know that convenience items such as magazines, gum, and other things found in checkout lanes can be priced a bit higher, since people would not normally shop for these items alone.

For that reason, you’re better off signing up for a subscription to your favorite magazine titles.  You will not only experience the convenience of having them delivered straight to your door, you’ll experience significant savings when you sign up for a year-long subscription.
