Jimmy Buffett

Another famous musician, Buffett’s songs typically focus on islands and escapism. A perfect example is Margaritaville, one of his most popular songs. Buffett needs to get away to some of the places he makes sound so good in his music. He does so with his own private plane that he bought back in 1990.

Buffett has a Grumman HU-16 Albatross. It’s a former military plane that’s an amphibian aircraft. He dubbed it The Hemisphere Dancer. One of his craziest experiences on the plane occurred in 1996 when he escaped from Jamaican police, who though he had drugs on his plane. They shot at him as he retreated.
