Cameron Crowe

Crowe is a director, producer, screenwriter, journalist, author and actor. Prior to moving into the film industry, he was a contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine, for which he still writes. Like others in the music industry in the 1970’s, Crowe had some bad experiences on private planes, but he still bought his own.

He told Rolling Stone that in 1973, he had a scary flight experience while covering the Who tour. Another bad experience occurred while following Heart on a tour. In both occasions, he flew in private planes through scary storms and thought he may end up dead.
