Bowman actually suggested the idea to writers, believing that his character was growing stale and the story needed to “move forward.” What makes it even more surprising is he was earning $250,000 an episode, so the money couldn’t have been easy to leave behind.

The actor called the ending “fitting,” claiming he was satisfied with the way it all went down. Fans, on the other hand, believed his character Daniel Grayson should never have been killed off.
