Salma Hayek is a Mexican and American actress and producer. Her career began by starring in telenovelas in Mexico before moving to Hollywood. While it took her a little while to break into the entertainment world, she was a huge success once she did. 

While Hayek’s marriage to a billionaire businessman is reasonably well known, most people do not know that she was born into a wealthy family in Mexico. Hayek’s father was a successful businessman who made more than enough to send his daughter to boarding school in the US.
