Nita Ambani

Nita Ambani was born into a middle-class family and had a degree in commerce from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. She was working as a school teacher when she first met her soon-to-be husband, Mukesh Ambani, the chairperson of the oil and gas conglomerate Reliance Industries and the billionaire behind India’s most valuable company by market value.

Even after marriage, she continued to work as a school teacher. But at present, she is a professional Indian dancer and philanthropist. She is also the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, the chairperson of one of the best schools in India, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, and co-chair of the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image, among many others. Since their marriage in 1985, the couple is going on strong.
