Irina Viner

Uzbek-born Russian Irina Viner is married to Uzbek-Russian businessman Alister Usmanov, one of the 100 wealthiest people in the world. Viner and Usmanov have known each other since their youth, having met at a sports hall in Tashkent. Viner was a gymnast and Usmanov was a fencer, and they reconnected before they married in 1992.

Viner made a name for herself in the gymnastics world, as was the coach of five Olympic all-around champions Margarita Mamun, Evgeniya Kanaeva, Alina Kabaeva, and Yulia Barsukova. She was even awarded the Olympic Order for the part she played in furthering global sports in 2015.
