North Caldwell, New Jersey (Honorable Mention)

North Caldwell is a borough in northwestern Essex County and a suburb of New York City. Purchased from Lenape Native Americans in the 1700s, the name is derived from Presbyterian minister James Caldwell.

In HBO’s The Sopranos, the house used to portray the home of Tony Soprano and his family is located in North Caldwell. In addition, many scenes were filmed in North Caldwell and other communities in North Jersey.
