33. Southlake, Texas (Average Household Income: $282,834)

Southlake is, as one might expect, south of the Grapevine Lake reservoir. The lake itself is actually a manmade feature, and Southlake only got its name four years after the completion of the reservoir.

It’s a suburb of the Dallas and Fort Worth area and sits comfortably between both downtowns. The town really started to take off in the 1970s with the completion of DFW International Airport (pun intended).
