Southwest of Boston, Wellesley is a historic as well as a wealthy town. Most of the houses there were built around the 1860s and qualify as protected buildings certified by the town’s historic commission.

Wellesley College, Babson College, and a campus of Massachusetts Bay Community College are all located in the heart of Wellesley. There are also several business complexes on the east side of town.
