Chevy Chase, Maryland is a desirable town even closer to the luxuries of Washington D.C. than Potomac. In addition, it’s one of the wealthiest (and whitest) towns in the entire United States of America.

In case you were wondering, the town did not get its name from the famous comedic actor. In actuality, Cornelius Crane Chase’s grandmother nicknamed him Chevy Chase after the wealthy Maryland community.
