If you’re ever taking out the trash or changing a diaper, sometimes the smell can be unbearable. You might try to hold you breath and hope you don’t throw up. This may sound strange, but putting two drops of toothpaste in your nostrils can block out bad smells. The strong smell of toothpaste will distract your sense of smell and overpower almost any scent. This hack even works with smells as bad a skunks.

It was as recently as 1975 when the first commercially-manufactured toothpaste came out. It was called Tom’s of Maine, and it was an herbal toothpaste as opposed to fluoride alternatives. In 1987, edible toothpaste was created for astronauts. Now, they are more commonly used by children.
