#22 – U2 

Finally, a non-American and non-English band to make it on the the list. Irish rock band U2  consists of Bono as lead vocals and rhythm guitar, the Edge as lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals, Adam Clayton as bass guitar, and Larry Mullen Jr. as drums and percussion.

U2 grew a lot, both on a personal level for bandmembers and musically as a group, over their career. They’ve been performing for decades, but in 2014, they famously had their album Songs of Innocence added to people’s iTunes automatically.
