#25 – Genesis

Formed by five pupils of the Charterhouse School, this English band has gone down in history as pioneers of progressive rock music. While the band went through distinctive style changes over the decades, they stayed true to rock n’ roll and never were tempted by “new trends.”

Genesis has made it big with fifteen studio and six live albums. Phil Collins didn’t want to be the lead singer of the band when Peter Gabriel left in 1975. The band thrived for a few decades more, but Collins left in 1996 to pursue solo work.
