#29 – Lynyrd Skynyrd

Sometimes it takes a while to find the perfect band name, and for Lynyrd Skynrd, it took five years. Luckily, the band from humble Florida origins picked a successful name that matched their band perfectly. 

There is nothing more unfortunate than young artists being cut down in their prime. A tragic airplane crash ended up killing three band members and seriously injuring the rest in 1977. Despite the tragedy, the band did reform ten years later for a reunion tour.
