Chicago was originally called The Big Thing, before switching to The Chicago Transit Authority, and then finally shortening their name to Chicago. The band has sold over 38.5 million units with a musical styling they dubbed as “rock n’ roll with horns.”

Even though its first album didn’t produce a hit single and their guitarist accidentally killed himself playing a game of Russian roulette, they were beloved by fans. They even achieved the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
