The Grateful Dead formed a unique brand of rock music that was influenced by rock, folk, bluegrass, jazz, blues, gospel, and psychedelic music that were heavy on the instrumentals. Grateful Dead was well known for hopping around the world for live shows, perpetually followed by their loyal fans known as “Dead Heads.”

The group toured consistently from the late 1960s until the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995. The band has been one of the most beloved bands in music history. In 2015 the surviving members of the group did a final tour to mark their 50th anniversary.
