The English were forerunners for producing successful rock bands in the 1960s and 1970s, one of which included Roxy Music. These “inspired amateurs” had the potential for great success, but a lack of quality management was their downfall.

Roxy Music produced eight studio albums, with their music being known for pushing boundaries, with the ninth being changed over to a solo album for lead singer Ferry. While they performed a series of 40th-anniversary shows in 2012, the band has been inactive since then.
