After: Dream Design On A Budget

Estimated Cost: $1000

Although it appears that these upgrades cost much more than their budget allows, this is proof that working on projects rather than hiring out can save hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Surprisingly, this DIY renovation resembles something out of a design magazine. Everything was ripped out except for the tub and shower, and the homeowners set to work cutting wood for shiplap that added charm to the walls, a project that cost around $300.  A new double vanity for the bargain price of $375 and some sleek subway tile in the existing shower were all done on a dime, and it’s quite a sight to behold.
