Dark walls and even darker fixtures in this small bathroom make the space seem cramped and oppressive. Even though this is considered a guest bathroom, it doesn’t provide guests with a welcome feel.

The first thing that contractors tackled was removal and replacement of old fixtures. The dated vanity was swapped out with something clean and bright; as the couple’s four adult sons had now left the nest, there was no longer a need for dual sinks, so they were able to save close to $1000 on its installation.
