What is it about pink tile that enticed so many in the 50s and 60s? The sheer magnitude of having to remove not only wall tile, but floor tile, had both homeowner and contractors gearing up for quite a project.

As breakdown began, the renovators found themselves with more need for repair on their hands than originally anticipated. Close to $6000 went to the demolition and repair of current structures that would remain, with the rest of the renovation budget appropriated toward beautifying the new space.
