Before: Black Is Not Always Best

Although the design concept of this bathroom is not garish and outdated, the installation of black tile on the walls makes it seem cramped and oppressive. Perhaps a dash of lighter color on the walls will open up this otherwise acceptable floor design.

Both renovators and homeowners went to work, tearing out massive amounts of tile and hauling out bag after bag of old masonry. With the tough stuff now behind them, it was time to conceptualize what they wanted the new bath to look like, and how they could best use their budget for purchasing and installing new fixtures and furniture.
