When you attempt to clean out your hairbrush, you probably notice that some extra stuff gets left behind when you pull out the hairs. It makes the brush look nasty, and you probably no longer want to use it.

Try spraying it with WD-40, letting it sink in, and then pulling the hair out. This should help get at least most of those extras out. Just be sure to rinse your brush after, or even soak it in a little soapy water. You do not want to walk around with your hair smelling like a solvent.
